| The only digital camera manufacturer of Korea, Samsung Techwin, spins off the camera business to make it a new independent corporation. Following the resolution of the board of directors, Samsung Techwin will be divided into Samsung Techwin Co., Ltd. and Samsung Digital Imaging Co., Ltd. (SDIC) as of February 1, 2009 through the meeting of shareholders through the resolution for spin off on December 19, and after the spinning off, Samsung Techwin co., Ltd. Would go through the modified listing procedure and SDIC for re-listing process to list on the Stock Exchange at the end of February of next year. |
